EPW - Julien Le Roy, Paris, quarter-hour dumb repeating (montre a toc) lever fusee, 45mm, 18K or better multicolor gold OF original case, rear with multicolor flowers, tools and musical instruments, bezel with multicolor foliate detail, cream colored enamel dial is likely a replacement of later vintage, brass ring below dial signed "Inventé par Jul. Le Roy en 1740," fancy gold hands, KWKS, lever escapement is presumably a conversion of an earlier original escapement of different form, gilt mvt with pierced and foliate scrolled two-footed balance bridge, s#3687. CONDITION:
Mvt: NR, fully wound and ticks temporarily with a twist, repeat mechanism not engaging as pendant lifts and depresses freely without resistance, overhaul needed for repeat function, fine-plus cosmetic mvt condition overall, some scattered scratches and fine scratches; dial with small flake adjacent the affixing screw at 3; excellent hands; case shows little wear, mild dent at lower right perimeter of rear, good engraving detail with some reduction at high areas; bow pivots freely; good domed glass crystal.
